Samsung A52 review KenyaThe Samsung Galaxy A52 was released in March 2021. It’s an upgrade to the Galaxy A51, although the two models do share some similarities.

The A52 has the same sleek and modern design as its predecessor along with a similar 6.5 inch Super AMOLED screen.

Thankfully, Samsung upgraded the refresh rate to 90Hz in the Galaxy A52 for a smoother and more responsive user experience.

The memory options on the A52 are 6GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage as well as a memory card slot for additional storage space.

The chipset on the Samsung Galaxy A52 is a Snapdragon 720G which isn’t the fastest but it does guarantee smooth daily performance. For the camera, the A52 has a quad setup at the back that features a main 64MP sensor with image stabilization.

Other notable features of the Samsung Galaxy A52 are a 4500mAh battery, a 3.5mm audio jack and an under-display fingerprint reader.

Samsung have really stepped up their game in the mid-range market and the Samsung Galaxy A52 ticks most boxes in terms of value, performance and reliability. You can find more powerful chipsets in this price range but if you’re not a power user, the Galaxy A52 will serve you well.

    Samsung Galaxy A32 review Kenya

The Samsung Galaxy A32 is a typical mid-range device from the South Korean manufacturer. The problem with Samsung smartphones in this price range is they tend to be largely underpowered. The Galaxy A32 is no different.

It uses a Mediatek Helio G80 chipset which has less power than many competitor models on our list. Samsung also omitted 4K video recording from the Galaxy A32, a feature you’ll find in most competitor models as well.

For the other features, the phone has a beautiful 6.4 inch Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, a 5,000mAh battery and an under display fingerprint reader.

If your smartphone brand of choice is Samsung and you can’t go for the premium models (like the S21+), then the Galaxy A32 is worth considering at this price range.

    The Bad:

    Conclusion

All the smartphones listed above are great options for a new phone under 40k in Kenya. If you still haven’t made up your mind on which phone to get, we highly recommend the Poco F3. It gives you way more features than what you pay for.

The Samsung A52 is also a good option thanks to its Super AMOLED screen and unique under-display fingerprint reader.
